    Just a quick note for you. Manitoba is NOT a ‘state’. It’s a province. Manitoba is in a country called Canada.

    That said, there is a large number of homesteaders here. Both modern and old school styles. It’s a nice place, not overly populated like most states, and it gets really cold in the winter. -30C is quite common here in the winter.
