Pros:  Good support groups like FutureHarvestCASA and the University of Maryland. Living on the Eastern Shore is much less expensive than in more urban areas but near them for marketing produce. Much support for local food.

Cons: Value-added farm products are over-regulated. Local zoning can be a hindrance. Very poor internet access in many rural communities.
